Courtney Sansonetti, RDN, CDE, CD-N
Courtney Sansonetti, RDN, CDE, CD-N, is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist who has been providing outpatient nutrition counseling for more than 15 years.
Courtney earned a BS in Dietetics from the University of New Haven before completing her dietetic internship through Saint Joseph College. Soon after she earned “Recognized Young Dietician of the Year while serving as past Chair for the Connecticut Dietetic Association’s Reimbursement Committee. Courtney is a Certified Diabetes Educator through the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators and holds a Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Courtney provides nutrition counseling for a wide range of medical conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disorders, eating disorders, and weight-related issues. In the area of weight control, Courtney specializes in sane, sustainable weight management with an emphasis on intuitive and mindful eating principles. An individualized approach is taken with each client to create an eating style that is tailored to his or her specific needs and preferences.
In coordination with the Fairfield Health Department, Courtney facilitates the Fairfield Diabetes and Chronic Disease support group. She also conducts nutritional assessments and menu development for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in New Haven County. As a freelance writer, Courtney’s writings have been featured in a monthly nutrition column in the Fairfield Citizen News. Courtney is professionally affiliated with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as well as the Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutritionists dietetic practice group.
