Stephanie F. Merck, APRN, CDE, PHD-C
Stephanie Merck is a board certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in the care and management of those diagnosed with diabetes. In addition to maintaining certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Stephanie is also certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Certified Diabetes Educator and Advanced Diabetes Management. Stephanie graduated from York Hospital School of Nursing and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Southern Maine. She continued her education at the University of Maryland and graduated with her Master’s degree and obtained her Nurse Practitioner Certificate from the University of Connecticut. Stephanie is currently in the final stages of completing her PhD in nursing at the University of Phoenix. With over 40 years in healthcare, Stephanie has a wealth of knowledge that supports the physicians of Fairfield County Medical Group. Some of the duties Stephanie provides are specialty infusions, diabetes education and management, as well as acute care to the patients of Fairfield County Medical Group for over 20 years.
In addition to her duties in caring for the patients of Fairfield County Medical Group, Stephanie is a clinical preceptor for nurse practitioner students from a wide variety of education programs including Yale School of Nursing, Duke School of Nursing, and Georgetown School of Nursing.
Stephanie spends her leisure time with her family and friends and is an avid sports fan following Navy Football and the University of Connecticut basketball teams.
